【Generic Name】Florfenicol Injection
【Active ingredient】Florfenicol
【Characteristics】 Colorless or yellowish clear liquid.
【Pharmacology】Florfenicol acts by inhibiting the protein synthesis of bacteria by tightly combining with the 30S subunit of 70S ribosome .Highly effective against a large of gram-positive, negative bacteria and Mycoplasma. There is no cross resistance between florfenicol and other 
antibacterial agents,no drug resistance mediated by R- plasmid.
This product is rapidly and completely absorbed after injection,and widely distributes in the body. It has a strong penetrability,including penetratesting the blood brain barrier. The concentration in lung tissue is as higher as 90% in blood.It can sustain effective blood concentration for more than 24 hours,there is no residue and no side effect of aplastic anemia.
【Indications】A kind of antibacterial used in the treatment of diseases in pigs, chicken and fishes caused by susceptible strain,including systemic infection and local infection.
1. Actinobacillus Pleuropneumonia in pigs,cattle and sheep, Pasteurella Pneumonia and rotten hoof disease in cattle;
2. The hyperthermia in piglets caused by Haemophilus parasuis(Hps);
3 .Pullorum disease,E.coli, Staphylococcus,Streptococcus Haemophilus infections,and infectious serositis of duck.
4.Mycoplasma infections such as chronic respiratory disease in poultry and mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine.
5.Dsease in fishes caused by susceptible strain.
【Administration and dosage】
For intramuscular injection
Pigs and chicken: 20mg (indicate the active ingredient, florfenicol) per kg bodyweight, administers again every 48 hours and for continuous 2 times.
Fishes: o.5-1mg (indicate the active ingredient, florfenicol) per kg bodyweight once daily.
【Precautions】
1. Do not use for pregnant cow and cow during the lactation period.
2. Stomach intestine reactions such as Inappetence, water drinking decrease and diarrhea may occur in cattle.
【Withdrawal times】14 days for pigs, 28 days for chicken and 375 degree-days for fish.
